24 Communications announced today that it has received a Gold Hermes Creative Award for the “Live Here, Buy Here” campaign which the agency created for the Elmore County Economic Development Authority in partnership with the Elmore County Commission. The integrated marketing campaign includes multi-channel resources to promote consumer spending within Elmore County, Alabama.

The businesses and organizations within Elmore County depend on their local communities — and the citizens within those communities — to survive and thrive. “The benefits of local purchasing are significant; however, one of the challenges our clients faced was communicating all of these long-term benefits to the citizens of Elmore County, especially when they’re not visible in the moment,” said Jennifer Solt, CEO of 24 Communications. “We were pleased to be involved in the development of a campaign to support local businesses and ultimately improve the quality of life in our communities,” Solt said.

“Sourcing local business is not just a trend, it’s an important step toward sustainable business and the overall health of the county’s economic wellbeing,” said Cary Cox, Executive Director of the Elmore County Economic Development Authority. “Sustainable business development and a sustainable economy depend on balancing sales with the ability to maintain growth. This campaign will go a long way toward helping us achieve these goals,” he said.

Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional materials, marketing and communication programs, and emerging technologies. This year’s competition included over 6,000 entries from throughout the United States, Canada, and dozens of other countries. In addition to the Gold Hermes Award, 24 Communications also received Silver NYX Marcom Award recognition for the campaign.
