The closure of I-59/20’s elevated sections through downtown Birmingham, Alabama impacted approximately 80,000 vehicles per day. 24 Communications developed an integrated strategy utilizing a project-specific website, social media, television and radio PSAs, email marketing, billboard signage, and earned media to assist the Alabama Department of Transportation in keeping the public aware of closures, detours, and progress during the construction period.
