Three Hermes Creative Awards have been presented to 24 Communications for exceptional efforts in logo and website design. Hermes Creative Awards announced its early deadline winners for the 2020 international awards competition, including 24 Communications, which received one platinum and two gold awards. The competition recognizes outstanding work by creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional and emerging media while promoting the philanthropic nature of the industry.
A platinum award was presented to 24 Communications for the Tuscaloosa Pop-Up Farmers Market logo, illustrated by Avery Solt with senior graphic designer Shelton Roach. The new Tuscaloosa, Alabama pop-up farmers market initiative is uniquely catered to the underprivileged, rotating every weekday through five locations with access to public transportation and accepting SNAP/EBT and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program payments. The winning logo design will be the anchor of the campaign and will be featured on trucks, billboards, t-shirts and social media graphics.
Two gold awards were also presented to 24 Communications for website redesigns for Central Alabama Radiation Oncology (CARO) and Alabama Manufactured Housing Association (AMHA). These websites were the work of designer Shelton Roach and developer Dirk Preus. CARO operates the only ACRO accredited radiation oncology facilities in Central Alabama, with locations in Montgomery and Prattville. AMHA is the statewide association for manufactured and modular housing in Alabama. Additionally, AMHA offers housing assistance to individuals and families in need through its Alabama Housing Foundation.
All three of 24 Communications’ award-winning projects were under the creative direction and account management of Jennifer Solt and Callie Hincy, respectively. They were chosen from among thousands of entries from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, design shops, production companies and freelancers in the U.S. and around the world. Results for the final, July 16 deadline will be announced in the weeks to come.
Hermes Creative Awards is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. The international organization consists of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, media production and freelance professionals. AMCP judges are industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry.
Award winners were selected from over 200 categories grouped under advertising, publications, marketing, branding, integrated marketing, public relations/communications, electronic media, and pro bono.
