Trending Now– Mobile Advertising

The advertising industry is one that is constantly changing. With technology and social media growing faster than ever before, it can seem like a daunting task to keep up with it all. That is where an advertising agency becomes helpful. Capturing the consumer’s attention is the most important aspect of keeping a business alive. That is done through creative and adaptive marketing.

This year alone, 51 percent of the average adults time viewing digital media is spent in front of a mobile device rather than a computer, or any other connected devices. Because of this, advertising dollars are making the shift to follow suit. eMarketer, a marketing research firm, expects U.S. advertisers to spend $11 billion more on mobile advertising in 2015 than that of last year.

Since more people are looking at a mobile device screen rather than a television screen, it is important to promote your brand efficiently and in a way that is mobile-friendly. There are many different ways to promote your business through mobile advertising beyond just using social media. See below just a few examples of this:

  • Banner Ads – an unobtrusive “banner” at the top or bottom of the screen, featuring relevant text and graphics to promote the brand.
  • Native Ads – Ads that don’t necessarily look like traditional ads. They attempt to seamlessly blend in with the particular app they are advertising on.
  • Video Ads – Videos that play either while a user is waiting for an app to open, or during interaction with this app.

Equally as important as knowing how to spend your ad dollars is having a mobile-responsive website.

Due to Google’s new changes, having a website that has awesome design, content, and functionality but isn’t mobile-friendly can really hurt you when it comes to your search ranking. With 60 percent of internet traffic coming from mobile devices, it is a must that your website is accessible to those users. Otherwise, you are not only losing viewers to your page, you are losing in the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) race. Having a mobile-friendly website now matters when it comes to Google’s new ranking factors for SEO. Don’t let your website get left in the dust!

With advertising changing so rapidly it is more important than ever to keep up with the trends! Change can be scary, but only until you see your bottom line increasing.
